I'm an award-winning digital journalist — writer, editor, photographer — based in New York. My work has been published by The Paris Review, TIME, Architectural Record, and Forbes, among other publications. My day job is Deputy Culture Editor at Newsweek. Prior to that, I was a Senior Editor at TIME Edge, Senior Digital Editor at Sports Illustrated, managed Scholastic's Kid Reporter program and coordinated wall-to-wall coverage of the 2012 presidential campaign — from the entry of the first Republican candidates to the Inauguration and including a White House interview with President Barack Obama — as well as breaking-news packages around Hurricane Sandy (the response and recovery in New York, New Jersey, and New England) and the BP Oil Spill.
