When I graduated high school, I said to myself, "If nothing else, I never have to take another standardized test." But then the idea of grad school permeated my brain, and with it came the possibility that I would have to take the wet-and-wild ETS plunge one last time.
So after wrestling and wrangling with the idea of taking the GRE and applying to grad schools, today I "committed registration," as it's stated on ETS Web site, and signed up for the GRE. My date with whatever destiny this is is October 26. At Pitt. In the basement of the Cathedral. At 8:30 a.m. For a four hour test. On a computer.
I'm going to die. And I had to pay $115 for the privilege.
Let the countdown begin.
